To obtain a structure for a rolling bearing provided with a seal, the structure enabling a rotation supporting portion to be configured compact while required sealing performance is ensured and while the axial dimension of the space in which the inner ring (3a) is installed is reduced, the structure also enabling the rolling bearing to have low-torque resistance. The slide contact edge (23) of a seal lip (12a) provided to the inner peripheral edge of a seal ring (5a) located on one end side in the axial direction is made to be in sliding contact with one end surface (24) of the inner ring (3a). The front edge of a ridge (20) is disposed so that the front edge is close to and faces the surface of the inner ring (3a), thereby forming a labyrinth seal (19) between the front edge of the ridge (20) and the surface of the inner ring (3a). As a result of the configuration, a retaining ring (17) for restricting the axial position of the inner ring (3a) relative to a shaft (15) is disposed so as not to protrude from an axial end surface of a rolling bearing (1a) provided with the seal ring. The solution of the problem can be obtained because the diameter of the slide contact section of the contact seal can be reduced.
