<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermally changeable color writing tool used for writing letters whose color can be thermally changed by friction, quickly brought into a writing-capable state (pen-point projecting state) or a stored state (pen-point retracted state) even if the user can use only one hand, and containing a thermally changeable color ink. <P>SOLUTION: The thermally changeable color wiring tool containing a thermally changeable color ink, comprises: a writing body 8 that accommodates the thermally changeable color ink inside; a barrel 2 that accommodates movably in an anteroposterior direction the writing body 8 inside; an elastic body 7 that energizes the barrel 2 rearward of the writing body 8; an operating part 5 that projects/retracts the pen point 81 of the writing body 8 from/into the front end hole 31 of the barrel 2; and a friction part 4 that can thermally change the color of the writing by the frictional heat generated when the writing is rubbed. The friction part 4 comprises the elastic material of low friction property which generates friction chips less than eraser when the writing is rubbed.
