<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a charger which safely interrupts a large current due to a short circuit. <P>SOLUTION: A charger/discharger 3 according to this invention includes a body 7, a cable 8, and a charge/discharge connector 9. An electromagnet switch 71, interrupting a current flowing through a current monitoring part 72 when a current value of the current is a predetermined value or higher, is provided at the body 7.
