<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor, a semiconductor junction element, a pn-junction element, and a photoelectric converter capable of correctly controlling at least one of a forbidden band width and a conductivity type according to an application purpose and capable of being put into practical use. <P>SOLUTION: A semiconductor is manufactured by mixing Zn, and at least one of a III group element and an Ia group element in iron sulfide.
