<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming system consisting of a plurality of image forming apparatus tandemly connected in series, which disables the overlapping functions without requiring a complicated operation. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming system comprises a plurality of stand-alone image forming apparatus 100, 300 connected in series and can form an image by dividing any area on a recording paper. When the image is formed with the image forming system, each of the image forming apparatus includes: a detection unit for detecting the connection of the image forming apparatus with another image forming apparatus through a hardware detection or notification with communication; and controlling units 101, 301 for controlling a specified function among the plurality of image forming apparatus to be activated or disabled based on the results obtained by the connection detection. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
