<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photographic lens unit and an operation control method of the photographic lens unit which prevents a large current from instantaneously flowing through the photographic lens unit. <P>SOLUTION: CPU boards 10 to 21 which are independent from one another and equipped with CPUs are interconnected via a network line. When a camera body 41 is mounted to a photographic lens unit 1, power is supplied from the camera body 41 to a power management CPU board 10. The power is supplied to an iris control CPU board 19 first, to a focus control CPU board 18 next, and successively to a zoom control CPU board 17.
