<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device that ensures adhesion between a conductive sheet member as a transfer member and an intermediate transfer body or a transfer material conveyer, and prevents an image defect due to abnormal discharge. <P>SOLUTION: The transfer member 10a includes a sheet member 32a with one end supported by a support member 33a and the other free end in contact with an inner surface of the belt body 13, and an elastic member 31a to come in contact with the sheet member 32a to press the sheet member 32a to the belt body 13.
