<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restart an engine after idling stop without using a starter motor mounted to the engine. <P>SOLUTION: A hybrid shovel comprises: a hydraulic pump 14 which is driven by an engine 11; a motor generator 12 which assists the engine 14; a power storage device 120 which supplies power to the motor generator 12; and a control part 30 which controls the drive of an assist motor. When the engine 11 becomes an idling operation state, the control part 30 stops the drive of the hydraulic pump 14, and when the idling operation state is released, power is supplied from the power storage device 120 to the motor generator 12 to perform power running operation of the motor generator 12, whereby the drive of the hydraulic pump 14 is restarted to restart the drive of the engine 11. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
