<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink cartridge capable of efficiently moving ink in an ink bag toward a plug. <P>SOLUTION: The ink cartridge 1 includes a pressing member 8 disposed between an ink bag 71 in a case 2 and a lid 4. The pressing member 8 has a curved portion 83 formed by bending a sheet that has a lower flexibility than two sheet-layers 711 and 712 constituting the ink bag 71. As ink decreases, the sheet-layers 711 and 712 move closer to each other along facing directions of a left wall 30 and the lid 4, and the ink bag 71 deflates and begins deforming. As the ink bag 71 deforms, a second surface 832 of the pressing member 8 is bowed convexly toward the left wall 30 owing to a restoring force of the sheet constituting the second surface 832. Because a curved portion end 84 is in contact with a bottom wall 31, the second surface 832 is bowed convexly toward the left wall 30 so as to push up a lower portion of an ink holding portion 717.
