ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC PHOTORECEPTOR AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor with high sensitivity and high responsivity in a long wavelength region, free from deterioration of the electric characteristics even after repeated use and superior in wear resistance and cleaning feature.

SOLUTION: The electrophotographic photoreceptor has a charge generation layer and a charge transport layer formed over a substrate; the charge transport layer contains a compound expressed by a general formula (1); the binder resin is a polycarbonate copolymer having a specific structure; the elastic power of the charge transport layer at an indentation depth of 1 μm from the surface of the charge transport layer is 45-55%; and the universal hardness is 150-180 N/m2. R1-R5represent hydrogen atoms, an alkyl group of carbon number 1-6 which may include a substitutional group, or an alkoxyl group of carbon number 1-6 which may have a substitutional group.
