<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire 18 having excellent uniformity. <P>SOLUTION: The tire 18 includes a tread 20 having two or more main grooves 38a extending in the circumferential direction, a band 30 located radially inside the tread 20 and a belt 28 located radially inside the band 30. The main grooves 38a are not located on the equator. The band 30 is formed of the first ribbon 52a and the second ribbon 52b. The main groove 38a closest to the equator serves as a reference main groove 38as, and, immediately below the reference main groove 38as, the tip 62a of the first ribbon 52a and the tip 62b of the second ribbon 52b are laminated on the belt 28. The first ribbon 52a is wound spirally on the belt 28 toward the first end of the belt 28. The second ribbon 52b is wound spirally on the belt 28 toward the second end of the belt 28.
