<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a response message from being missed due to a timeout without individually extending the timeout duration by using a device connected to a network. <P>SOLUTION: At receiving a request message from a diagnostic tool 2 to an ECU, a gateway unit relays the request message to the ECU and transmits a waiting request code which instructs to extend a specified time (timeout duration) for waiting to the diagnostic tool 2 that is a source device of the request message. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
