PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system capable of performing reception limitation so that a line is not occupied by received facsimile data, without making alterations to a facsimile device on a transmission side.

SOLUTION: The information processing apparatus comprises: reception limitation storage means for storing information on reception limitation of facsimile data; reception determination means for determining whether the facsimile data to be received satisfies the reception limitation stored in the reception limitation storage means; and reception control means for continuing the reception when it is determined that the reception limitation is satisfied by the reception determination means, an on the other hand, stopping the reception of the facsimile data when it is determined that the reception limitation is not satisfied.
