<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which enables high-accuracy correction in real time in response to individual recording sheets. <P>SOLUTION: This image forming apparatus forms an image on a record medium coated with process liquid. It includes a pattern forming unit for forming predetermined patterns on partial or whole area of the record medium, a pattern reading unit which applies the process liquid to the record medium with the patterns formed by the pattern forming unit and then reads out the patterns on the record medium after the process liquid has been applied, an expansion and contraction amount calculation unit for calculating the expansion and contraction amount of the patterns read by the pattern reading unit, and an image data expansion and contraction unit for expanding and contracting image data depending on the expansion and contraction amount calculated by the expansion and contraction amount calculation unit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
