<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust gas-purifying catalyst in which the production cost is low, and the stable supply is possible, and which can prevent the decrease in the activity by oxidation, and can sufficiently purify CO, THC, and NOx contained in the exhaust gas. <P>SOLUTION: The exhaust gas-purifying catalyst 1 includes a catalyst particle 2 consisting of a composite metal oxide of a spinel type, shown by AB<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O<SB POS="POST">4</SB>. In the catalyst particle 2, an A site element of the composite metal oxide is at least one chosen from Fe, Cr, Co, and Cu, and a B site element is at least one chosen from Mn, Fe, Cr, Co, and Al. The exhaust gas-purifying catalyst 1 can include the catalyst particle 2 and a carrier particle 3 consisting of at least one chosen from Al<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O<SB POS="POST">3</SB>, ZrO<SB POS="POST">2</SB>, TiO<SB POS="POST">2</SB>and SiO<SB POS="POST">2</SB>. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
