PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video distribution technology which can prevent a viewer from feeling sick during or after the viewing of stereoscopic video.

SOLUTION: A video distribution apparatus for distributing stereoscopic video to a reception device displaying video to a viewer includes: adaptation processing means for distributing video for adapting the viewer to the stereoscopic video to the reception device; distribution propriety determining means for determining whether or not the stereoscopic video requested by the viewer should be distributed to the reception device; practice processing means for distributing video for allowing the viewer to practice viewing the stereoscopic video to the reception device when the distribution propriety determining means determines that distribution should not be done; and requested video distributing means for distributing the stereoscopic video requested by the viewer to the reception device when the distribution propriety determining means determines that the distribution can be done.
