<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent discontinuous temperature differences between platens even if a platen is divided into a plurality of the platens and has gaps between the divided platens. <P>SOLUTION: The inkjet recording apparatus which performs recording on a conveyed recording medium using a recording head that ejects ink includes: a heating part that dries the ink applied to the recording medium by conveying heat to a surface of the recording medium to which the ink is applied; and the platen that supports the recording medium. The platen is divided into a plurality of pieces, and the divided platens 11a, 11b are disposed apart from each other.
