<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a breather device that prevents liquid in a case from flowing out. <P>SOLUTION: A breather plug 1 is attached to a case 6 housing liquid to release the inside of the case 6 to the atmosphere. A cap 3 has a fluid passage 31 with one end released to the atmosphere and the other end leading to the inside of the case 6. In the fluid passage 31, a ball 5 is spaced from the inner surface of the fluid passage 31. A case-side valve seat 21 is disposed on the side of the case 6 of the fluid passage 31. An atmosphere-side valve seat 32 is disposed on the atmosphere side of the fluid passage 31. The fluid passage 31 is bent in one direction from the case-side valve seat 21 to the atmosphere-side valve seat 32, is tapered to reduce the width toward the atmosphere-side valve seat 32, and is narrower than the ball 5 in the atmosphere-side valve seat 32. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
