<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine that performs mode-down lottery, while increasing the fun of a game. <P>SOLUTION: The game machine includes: a start winning information storage means for storing start winning information including a random number for winning lottery and a random number for mode-down lottery; a winning lottery means for performing winning lottery when lottery execution conditions are met; a variable display device for displaying a result or the like of the winning lottery; a probability varying means for increasing the probability of winning the winning lottery; and a mode-down lottery means which, when the probability varying means is in operation and the lottery execution conditions are met, performs mode-down lottery for deciding whether to stop operation of the probability varying means. Whether the random number for mode-down lottery matches a predetermined specific value is determined before the mode-down lottery.
