<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a USB receptacle capable of identifying and detecting whether a connected USB plug is a standard USB plug or a USB plug (special USB plug) other than the standard USB plug. <P>SOLUTION: A special USB plug 500 is a standard USB plug with identification parts (512r and 512l) added. A USB receptacle 100 is provided with detection pins (300r and 300l) which are held by a holding member 150 so as not to make direct connections with a shell. The standard shell does not reach a contact part 306 when the USB receptacle 100 is fitted to the standard USB plug; however, identification parts (512r and 512l) of a special shell 510 are connected with the contact parts 306 of the detection pins (300r and 300l) when the USB receptacle 100 is fitted to the special USB plug 500, thereby the shell and the detection pins (300r and 300l) are connected via the special shell 510. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
