The method involves determining uniquely pressure and temperature of a fluid pressure transmitter (13) in a predetermined installation position, and measuring pressure and temperature of the fluid pressure transmitter in another installation position. The influence of the position dependency of the pressure transmitter is determined from the difference of the measured value of the pressure and the temperature in both different installation positions and the technical data of the pressure transmitter. The temperature of the fluid pressure transmitter is continuously and actually measured during the current measurement mode. The current pressure measured value is corrected by the current temperature of the fluid pressure transmitter and the temperature-corrected installation position-dependent correction value.
