<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rack guide that can maintain a state that a curved sliding plate piece is firmly bonded to a rack guide substrate formed of a synthetic resin even if the effect of a temperature increase releases stress from the rack guide substrate, and to provide a rack and pinion steering device with the rack guide. <P>SOLUTION: The rack and pinion steering device 1 includes: a gear case 3; a steering shaft 6 rotatably supported in a hollow part 2 of the gear case 3; a pinion 7 provided integrally at a shaft end of the steering shaft 6; a rack bar 10 having a rack tooth 8 engaged with the pinion 7; a rack guide 11 for movably guiding and supporting the rack bar 10; and a coil spring 12 as an elastic means for pushing the rack tooth 8 toward the pinion 7 through the rack guide 11. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
