<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a square end mill suppressing chipping over the entire area of outer peripheral blades and improving stability of performance in use. <P>SOLUTION: In the square end mill including a plurality of bottom blades and outer peripheral blades, distal end cutting blade sections in which the radius of curvature of a ridge line formed by a flank of the outer peripheral blade and a cutting face of the outer peripheral blade is large are arranged on the distal end side of the outer peripheral blades, rear end cutting blades in which the radius of curvature is small are arranged on the rear end side of the outer peripheral blades, and the flank of the outer peripheral blade and the cutting face of the outer peripheral blade in each outer peripheral blade are formed of one curved surface, respectively. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
