The belt drive (10) has a switchable freewheel (14) provided with a drive shaft pulley (12) and switchable between the locking position in which the drive direction pulley is blocked and the drive shaft is locked, and the freewheeling position in which the drive direction pulley is made to run freely and drive shaft is blocked. The freewheel is made to cooperate with a pulley pulling unit (20) for transmitting torque to a secondary unit. A guide roller (22) is coupled with an armature plate (24) eccentrically hinged with a lever (26) for switching the freewheel.
