<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotating electric machine system controller configured to properly determine the type of a failure in a cooling system of a rotating electric machine. <P>SOLUTION: The cooling system for cooling a rotating electric machine 16 and an inverter 18 includes a circulation path 10 for a cooling liquid, a water pump 12 for circulating the cooling liquid through the circulation path 10, and a radiator 14. An ECU 20 that is the rotating electric machine system controller determines the type of a failure in the cooling system, on the basis of a cooling liquid temperature T<SB POS="POST">w</SB>acquired from a liquid temperature sensor provided in the circulation path 10 near the inlet of the cooling liquid to the inverter 18, and on the basis of an actual rotating speed R of the water pump 12. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
