<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact hybrid stepping motor, with improved motor characteristics, by equalizing the balance of magnetic flux flowing through a rotor core, reducing magnetic leakage flux, and increasing effective magnetic flux. <P>SOLUTION: A hybrid stepping motor includes: a first rotor core, and a second rotor core, that are assembled around a rotor shaft and that have first and second rotor pole teeth, respectively, formed on respective outer circumferential surfaces thereof; a third rotor core that is axially laminated between the first and second rotor cores and is smaller in diameter than the first and second rotor cores; and an annular rotor magnet that is assembled concentrically around the rotor shaft in the vicinity of the pole teeth of at least one of the first rotor core and the second rotor core. A magnetic circuit is formed in which magnetic flux of the rotor magnet flows from the rotor pole teeth of one of the first and second rotor cores, through stator pole teeth facing the rotor pole teeth of the same, the pole teeth of the other of the first and second rotor cores, and the third rotor core, in that order, and returns to the rotor magnet. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
