<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage battery charger capable of increasing the service life of a storage battery. <P>SOLUTION: The storage battery charger comprises: a storage battery 3 consisting of a plurality of battery units (for example, a battery block 7) connected in series; a bypass circuit (for example, a bypass circuit 9) which is provided in each of the battery units and can bypass the battery units; at least one temperature sensor (for example, a temperature sensor 10) provided in each of the battery units, which detects the temperature of the battery unit; a charge circuit for charging the storage battery; and a control circuit which switches the bypass circuit to a bypass state or a non bypass state for each of the battery units according to the output of the temperature sensor, during the period when the charging circuit charges the storage battery. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
