<PICT:0674852/IV (a)/1> <PICT:0674852/IV (a)/2> In the production of artificial textile fibres, the spinning solution, immediately before passing through the spinneret, is forced through one or more circular dish-shaped perforated lamin made of metal or artificial resin and having holes of smaller diameter than those of the spinneret, the lamina or lamin resting on the spinneret. The lamin may be made of nickel, stainless steel, platinum, gold, or tantalum. As shown in Fig. 3, a spinneret 4 has a frusto-conical border 5 extending into a flange 6. Upon this border 5 there is placed a dish-shaped disc which has a perforated flat portion 1, a frusto-conical wall 2, and a flanged circular border 3. As shown in Fig. 7, the lamina, which is placed on the spinneret 4, has a cylindrical portion 7 so that the perforated flat portion 1 penetrates more deeply into the cavity of the spinneret than is possible with the construction shown in Fig. 3. The lamina acts as a final filter for the spinning solution and it effects to some extent a molecular orientation of the filament-forming substance prior to extrusion. |
