PURPOSE: A method for transmitting a reference signal in a wireless communication system and a device thereof are provided to generate the reference signal. CONSTITUTION: A transmitting unit(1265) transmits cell ID information of a second cell to a terminal(1200) using a first cell as a serving cell. A generating unit(1260) generates a sequence of each reference signal based on the same cell ID in the first and the second cells. The transmitting unit generates a signal by performing the resource element mapping of the generated sequence of each reference signal. The transmitting unit transmits the generated signal to the terminal. The same cell ID for generating the sequence is a cell ID of the first cell or a cell ID of the second cell.
