The invention relates to a water-jet cutting machine, which has a carriage (2) that can be moved in the X direction, said carriage having a cantilever (4) that is movably mounted in the Z direction. The cutting head (5) is mounted on the cantilever (4) such that the cutting head can be moved in the Y direction by means of a moving device. The cantilever (4) is rotatably attached to the carriage (2) such that the cantilever can perform a B rotation and that the spatial coordinates of the pivot point of the cantilever (4) in the X direction and in the Z direction are identical to the spatial coordinates of the processing point on the workpiece in the X direction and in the Z direction. The design according to the invention enables the entire cantilever (4), together with the cutting head (5), to rotate about the processing point on the workpiece in the event of a necessary correction of the cutting angle and the stream lag in the X direction. Therefore, an adjusting device for correcting the stream lag in the X direction on the cutting head (5) itself can be omitted. |
