APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR TRANSLATING USING MULTIPLE TRANSLATION ENGINE

PURPOSE: A translator using multiple translation engines and a method thereof are provided to predict translation rates of a translation sentence by determining a translation performance according to a structure or characteristics of the sentence in each translation engine. CONSTITUTION: A structure analysis unit(111) analyzes a structure of an original sentence. A sentence receiving unit(112) receives translation sentences from a translation engine. A sentence determination unit(115) determines one or more translation result sentences based on th performance information of the translation engine according to the structure of the original sentence. A performance information generating unit(113) generates the performance information of the translation engine based on a structure of a sample sentence and translation sentences generated by translating the sample sentence by using the translation engine. The performance information generation unit determines the translation performance of the translation engine by comparing the translation sentences to correct sentences of the sample sentence.
