PURPOSE: A digital communication apparatus using acoustic effects and a method thereof are provided to modulate digital data to double frequency signals synthesized sound fitting to each code, thereby transmitting the digital data through the sound at a high speed. CONSTITUTION: A memory(150) stores an acoustic digital code table including digital code values corresponding to synthesized sound synthesizing the sound of a plurality of frequencies of each sound. A modulation unit(121) modulates input digital data into a plurality of digital values corresponding to compound ingredient of a plurality of frequencies based on a digital code value on the acoustic digital code table, on each unit data. A DAC(122) generates an analog signal for each unit data corresponding to the synthesized sound of a plurality of frequencies based on modulated digital data. The input digital data is transmitted to sound by the analog signal.
