<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a secondary battery achieving a high discharge capacity even under heavy-load conditions. <P>SOLUTION: The secondary battery comprises a positive electrode containing an active material, a negative electrode, and an electrolytic solution. The composition of the active material is represented by the formula: Li<SB POS="POST">a</SB>Mn<SB POS="POST">b</SB>Fe<SB POS="POST">c</SB>M<SB POS="POST">d</SB>PO<SB POS="POST">4</SB>, where M represents at least one kind of elements such as Mg, 0<a≤2, 0<b<1, 0<c<1, 0≤d<1, and b+c+d=1. The median diameter (D90) of the active material measured by laser diffraction is in the range of 10.5 μm to 60 μm, and the half-width (2θ) of the diffraction peak resulting from the (020) crystal face of the active material, measured by X-ray diffraction, is in the range of 0.15° to 0.24°. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
