<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide high-frequency quenching steel excellent in quenching crack resistance. <P>SOLUTION: The high-frequency quenching steel in this embodiment contains, by mass, C: 0.35 to 0.6%, Si: 0.01% or higher and lower than 0.40%, Mn: 1.0 to 2.0%, S: >0.010% and 0.05% or lower, Cr: 0.01 to 0.5%, AI: 0.001 to 0.05%, N: Ti/3.4 to 0.02%, Ti: 0.005 to 0.05%, and a balance comprising Fe and an inevitable impurities, wherein the following formula (1) is satisfied: 2S-3Ti<0.040 (1).
