<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charge control device and a charge control method for a storage battery capable of securely executing a uniform charging of lead storage batteries when an insufficient charging of the lead storage batteries occurs. <P>SOLUTION: A power supply comprises: a DC power supply 1 for outputting a DC power to apparatuses; and a lead storage battery 2 which is connected in parallel to the DC power supply 1. A charge control device for the storage battery includes a controller 5 which examines the operational status of the DC power supply 1 and when the DC power supply 1 becomes a non-operational status, monitors the operational frequencies of the apparatuses according to the status of a DC power supplied to the apparatuses. When the operational frequency is high, the controller 5 examines the discharged amount due to the highly-frequent operations. When the highly-frequent operations are finished, the controller 5 calculates the time to perform a uniform charging on the basis of the discharged amount to perform the uniform charging for the calculated time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
