<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pointer type timepiece which has its dial illuminated more suitably. <P>SOLUTION: In a dial illumination device in which light emitted by a light emitting diode and made incident on a light guide plate is irregularly reflected by irregular reflection means and emitted to the front of the light guide plate, a through hole having a beveled part having the entire periphery beveled is formed in the center of the light guide plate, which is fixed to a front frame with a fixing screw that a pointer shaft penetrates. A plurality of light emitting diodes are provided nearby the pointer shaft, the fixing screw has an opposite part opposed to the beveled part of the through hole of the light guide plate, and a collar part shields fronts of the light emitting diodes. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
