<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure a high image quality of a print image without generating a seam itself of a linear encoder scale regulating a timing of discharging an ink droplet. <P>SOLUTION: A rotary encoder 31 having resolving power which is integer B times as much as a predetermined resolution of a print image is attached to a driven roller 24, and a magnetic layer 30 formed on the outer perimeter surface of a conveyance belt 22 is demagnetized. Then, until a position of a particular pattern is achieved, magnetizing of the N pole and the S pole to the magnetic layer 30 is inverted each time the pulse number of the rotary encoder becomes 1/2 of the integer B as a normal pattern. Each time the normal pattern is repeated for specific pattern cycles, magnetizing of the N pole and the S pole to the magnetic layer 30 is inverted when the pulse number of the rotary encoder becomes a value obtained by adding 1/2 of the integer B, thereby enabling dispersion of the pulse number of the rotary encoder of a remainder C obtained by dividing the pulse number of the rotary encoder during one cycle of the rotation of the conveyance belt 22 by the integer B uniformly to the entire perimeter of the conveyance belt 22. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
