In the method solder is deposited on at least one surface of a base metal e.g. of copper at least one copper net and at least one stainless steel net are placed e.g. tack spot-welded on a side of a corrosion resistant metal plate to form a laminate and the lamination surface of the laminate is welded to a soldered surface of the base metal. The corrosion resistant plate can be of titanium, tantalum, niobium or zirconium. Welding is performed under pressure preferably by a seam-welder. The method is applied to manufacture of busbars, electrode bodies and vacuum or pressure tanks. |
