PURPOSE: An arrangement with a superconducting direct-current electric cable system is provided to prevent AC power loss and inductive voltage drop. CONSTITUTION: A cryostat(KR) includes two metal tubes(1,2). An insulator(3) is arranged between two metal tubes. A direct current transmission device(4) forms a free space(FR) for carrying refrigerant. The direct current transmission device includes two phase conductors. A cover surrounds the phase conductors and a separation layer.
