The method involves sampling data symbols of multi-carrier modulated signal (2), and dividing the data symbols into M-sectors. A correction function is determined by calculating a minimum signal level for each sector. Corrected signals are produced by subtraction and/or multiplication of the correction function from and/or with sampled values of associated sectors. The correction function is constant within the sector, and follows a mathematic function within the sector. The corrected signals are strengthened by the subtraction of the correction function from the sampled values. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for transmitting a multi-modulated signal for an optical channel (2) a device for analyzing a multi-modulated signal (3) a device for producing a multi-carrier modulated signal for an optical channel of an optical transmission system. |
