PURPOSE: A caliper for a disk brake of a vehicle is provided to obtain uniform contact pressure on the total area of a brake pad by having several brake pistons guided in the caliper. CONSTITUTION: A caliper(1) for a disk brake of a vehicle comprises two side plates(2,3) of a caliper body. In each side plate, five brake pistons facing each other inside brake cylinders(4) are arranged and supported on a support(12). Three brake pistons(5,6,7) are arranged on the outer curved path(K) of the support. The other two brake pistons(8,9) are placed on the inner curved path(K1) of the support and are arranged inside of gaps between the brake pistons on the outer curved path of the support. The brake cylinders for the brake pistons are connected to each other by connecting channels(14,15) in the support. |
