PURPOSE:A low-calorie sweetening composition that is composed of sucrose and a dipeptide sweetening, thus showing improved taste, flavor and physical properties in comparison with each component only. CONSTITUTION:The objective sweetening composition comprises sucrose, less than 50wt%, based on the sucrose, of a dipeptide sweetening, preferably alpha-L- aspartyl-L-phenylalanine lower alkyl easter, much preferably its methyl ester, when necessary, at least one selected from the group consisting of glycine, DL-alanine, sodium glutamate and sodium chloride. The resultant composition is made into particles or granules for use. |
