PURPOSE:To provide molding rubber material which holds stably the sliding friction resistance of a surface over a long period of time by a method wherein as the molding rubber material is streched, a surface treatment is conducted by the use of fluoric gas. CONSTITUTION:Molding rubber material (sheets, O-rings, gaskets, etc.) composed of natural rubber, acrylonitrile-butadiene copolymerized rubber or the like is stretched to about 600% or less, held about -20 to 250 deg.C in an atmosphere of fluoric gas (which may be diluted by inert gas such as helium, argon, etc. to a degree of about 100 times), after its surface is fluorinated, dipped in the aqueous solution of alkali metal carbonate to remove the residual fluorine attached to the surface, moreover, washed and then dried. |
