PURPOSE: A cooling apparatus for a gravity casting machine is provided to easily attach or detach a gravity casting using disks which are rotatably included in a base, and to precisely control the temperature inside a water tank using a controlling panel for separately controlling an elevating part. CONSTITUTION: A cooling apparatus for a gravity casting machine includes a water tank(10), plural disks(20), elevating parts(30), and a chucking part(40). The water tank is formed to have an inlet port and an outlet port. The plural disks are formed at the upper side of the water tank. The elevating parts are formed to elevate the plural disks. The chucking part is formed at the lower end of the elevating part, and formed to grip a gravity casting. A base for supporting the disks is installed inside the water tank. The disks are rotatably installed at the base. A controlling panel is further included to separately control the elevating parts. The controlling panel controls the operations of the elevating parts according to a program which is prestored in a memory. A temperature sensor is installed inside the water tank. The operations of the elevating parts are controlled by calculating the temperature detected on the temperature sensor with the program, which is prestored in the memory.
