PURPOSE: A gas meter blocking an external magnetic force is provided to completely block an external magnetic force by surrounding the front, rear, and the lateral surfaces of a magnet and a magnetic sensor with a ferromagnetic body, thereby accurately measuring the rate of flow. CONSTITUTION: A gas meter blocking an external magnetic force comprises an upper case(10), a lower case, a magnetic rotating device, a receiving unit(40), a counter unit(50), and an external magnetic force blocking member(60). An inlet and an outlet are formed on the top of the upper case. The lower case is joined to the lower part of the upper case and a diaphragm device is mounted inside the lower case. The magnetic rotating deice rotates a magnet(51) by being interlocked to the diaphragm device according to the gas flow to the outlet. The receiving unit is formed on the front surface of the upper case. The counter unit is received in the receiving unit and integrates the rate of flow to a display unit(54) through a PCB(Printed Circuit Board) assembly(53) by sensing the rotational amount of the magnet with a magnetic sensor(52). The external magnetic force blocking member surrounds the external periphery of the magnetic sensor.
