POWER TAIN FOR ELECTRIC VEHICLE

PURPOSE: A two-speed transmission for an electric vehicle is provided to implement two-speed transmission by combining one friction clutch with two one-way clutches or by combining one friction clutch with one bidirectional clutch. CONSTITUTION: An input shaft(12) is connected to a shaft of a driving motor for an electrical vehicle(10). A first stage input gear(14) and a second stage input gear(16) are mounted at the input shaft side by side. A first stage output gear(18) engages with the first stage input gear. A second stage output gear(20) engages with the second stage input gear. A power transmission shaft(22) is arranged in parallel to the input shaft. A first stage power connecting means(30) delivers or blocks power of the first stage output gear to the power transmission shaft. A second stage power connecting means(40) delivers or blocks power of the second stage output gear to the power transmission shaft. A power transmission mediating gear(26) is mounted between a first bearing(24) and a first stage power transmission means. An output shaft(50) comprises an output gear(28).
