The present invention relates to a method of providing call connections from a Bluetooth or Wi-Fi enabled mobile telephone to a destination through a parking meter or utility meter device having a Bluetooth or Wi-Fi access point integrated therein. The invention also relates to a corresponding communication system comprising a Bluetooth or Wi-Fi enabled mobile telephone and a Bluetooth or Wi-Fi access point housed in a parking meter or utility meter device.
