PURPOSE:To reduce noises and suppress a scatter of waste toner by applying an impact to a waste toner container intermittently at each of a specific number of cycles of image formation, and vibrating the container. CONSTITUTION:When a print start signal 114 is inputted through a buffer 104, a CPU101 turns on a paper feed signal 110 through a driver 105. Consequently, the contents of a paper quantity counter PCNT are increased by one and it is checked whether the PCNT goes up to a specific value M or not. When so, the PCNT is reset to ''0'', and a waste toner container impact signal, i.e. an output to a solenoid 36 is turned on. At the same time, the clock incorporated in the CPU101 is permitted to start counting the time and an impact is applied to the waste toner container 19 for a time long enough to flatten toner. Thus, noises are reduced and a scatter of waste toner is suppressed. |
