PURPOSE:To provide a metal working oil compsn. contg. a lubricating oil component, a water-sol. anionic macromolecular compd. and an extreme-pressure agent, which exhibits stabilized distribution of particles with a relatively large diameter even in agitation under high shear stress and excellent lubricating properties, is least affected by contaminants and undergoes little changes with time. CONSTITUTION:The compsn. contains as essential ingredients a lubricating oil component selected from among oil, fat, mineral oil and fatty acid ester, a water-sol. anionic macromolecular compd. (e.g. salt of olefin/maleic acid copolymer), and an extreme pressure agent (e.g. zinc phosphate, tridecyl phosphite or thiobutyl alcohol). Unlike emulsion of conventional metal working oil, the compsn. shows stable dispersion in water of oil particles with a relatively large diameter, has good stability by the action of dispersant, repels contaminants, which are readily separated if they should be taken up, and exhibits excellent lubricating properties because of the extreme-pressure agent. |
