Disclosed is a valve comprising a body, which has a fluid inlet port and a fluid outlet port, a flow path formed therein communicated with the fluid inlet port and the fluid outlet port, and a valve seat formed in the flow path; and a valve body, which is attached to or detached from the valve seat by pivotal or vertical motion, thereby closing or opening the flow path; wherein at least the body is made of a polyphenylene ether-based resin composition containing a polyphenylene ether-based resin and a polystyrene-based resin as essential components. Another feature is that the polyphenylene ether-based resin composition has a tensile strength of 20 MPa or more and a tensile elastic modulus of 1,000 MPa or more under an atmosphere at 95°C. |
